I picked up this pattern because it reminded me of a gothic church stained glass window. While I knew it would be a pain to work with, I chose to use black thread to follow through with that inspiration.

Even in the early rounds, I've already made adjustments to the pattern to remove unnecessary texture stitches since you don't see them well in wall hangings, especially ones made in black.

I've made it to Round 15 and this is tedious as hell. At the same time, I'm impressed by crochet's flexibility and freedom when it comes to constructions. Truly, if you can pull a loop through a space, you can put a stitch there.
