This is a list of all my favorite websites/apps, how I use them, and their pros and cons.

notion
How I use it: Notion is my personal journal and brain dump. I make pages for anything and everything that I want to organize and remember for later. I use it for everyday lists like to-do lists, grocery lists, and wish lists. I use it to organize bookmarks so that they're sorted by topic and easily searchable for when I need them later. I LOVE Notion's databases to organize many pages for crochet projects, books I've read, and health diary entries.
Pros: The "block" system of building a page is intuitive and frictionless; it doesn't take much time to put together a page. Collaborative tools and sharing options (i.e., publishing pages online) make it easy to share individual pages with others.
Cons: It has AI features, and they are intrusive and annoying. However, if you email their support staff, you can request that all AI tools be removed from your account. That's what I did, and it feels much better to use now. I've included a sample email below that you can use!
SUBJ: Please Remove AI from My Notion App
To whom it may concern—
I would like to have the AI features removed from all Notion workspaces associated with this email address. I have no need for it and find it intrusive to my workflow. [If you have specific gripes to air, include them here.] In the future, I would like to see Notion offer AI features as opt-in only or provide the ability to disable it in settings.
